The University is certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
Basic life support (BLS) provider course is planned to be started on spring 2017. BLS course aims to teach single-rescuer, multiple rescuers and team basic life support skills for application in both pre-hospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and team dynamics. Its objectives are to teach how to perform high quality CPR on victims of all age groups and it also tackles infant, child and adult choking and how to deal with them. Medical students should take the BLS provider course prior to their graduation.
