Under the patronage and presence of H.E the Lebanese Prime Minister Mr. Fouad Siniora, the President of Beirut Arab University Prof. Amr Galal Al-Adawi hosted, on the 7th of May 2009, in collaboration with the Faculty of Commerce & Business Administration and the Faculty of Law & Political Sciences a conference entitled
“ The Effects of the Global Financial Crisis on Financial and Banking Sectors: An Economic and Legislative Prospective”
The Conference ended on the same day in the afternoon with the following basic major objectives discussed:
- Causes and consequences of the global financial crisis
- Legislative and strategic aspects of the crisis
- Global and domestic repercussions of the financial crisis
- Stimulus package and the future of public/ private partnership under financial crisis
- Real estate sector and financial crisis.
