A Scientific Seminar for Beirut Arab University and the Order of Engineers and Architects in the North

Within the framework of cooperation between Beirut Arab University- Tripoli Branch and the Scientific Committee at the Order of Engineers and Architects in the North, a Scientific Seminar was held at the Order in which  professors from the Faculties of Engineering and Architecture – Design and Built Environment participated with their papers on architectural education “Opportunities and Challenges” and “New Trends in Technology and Engineering Education”.

The seminar was attended by BAU Vice-President for Tripoli Branch Affairs Professor Khaled Baghdadi, President of the Order of Engineers and Architects in the North Bassam Ziedeh, Head of the Scientific Committee at the Order of Engineers and Architects in the North Dr. Rima Hleis, Director of the Faculty of Engineering at Beirut Arab University –Tripoli Branch Dr. Ahmad Lakkani, Director of the Faculty of Architecture – Design and Built Environment at Beirut Arab University – Tripoli Branch Dr. Nabil Mohareb, and a crowd of professors from both faculties. 

The seminar dealt with the stages of the development of engineering and architectural education and its future vision, as well as the recent trends in technology that are developing so fast that it is necessary to keep pace with this progress through the development of curricula and teaching methods at the undergraduate level and through the continuing learning programs, and graduate and postgraduate studies.
