Dr. Samer El Sayary Won the FOCUS PRIZE- The Lunar Village

Faculty of Architecture - Design & Built Environment would like to congratulate Dr. Samer El Sayary for winning the FOCUS PRIZE- The Lunar Village (PRIX FOCUS Le Village Lunaire), for his project IRIS, granted by The Jacques Rougerie Foundation - Institut de France as part of the Winners of its 2020 International Architecture and Art Prizes, Architecture and Innovation for Space.

About the Project:

Project IRIS is an orbital elevator and space telescope with a goal to put our eyes on the skies. Various Bio-strategies were used mixed with the available parametric design technology.
