Course Description

The course provides a holistic approach to optimizing the nutritional health of infants, children and adolescents. The course emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of the role of diet in health and disease among these groups. The physiological, biochemical and nutritional aspects of specific disease processes will be discussed. This includes obesity, diabetes, food allergy, inborn errors of metabolism, hematological diseases, pediatric disorders of the major organ systems and nutritional support.
