Course Description
This course discuss the possible causes of physical disability in which a person is constrained to perform an activity independently such as walking, bathing, toileting, etc. It gives a good medical knowledge on the different congenital/hereditary causes of physical disability, in addition to the disability developed at a later stage due to genetic problems, problems with muscle cells or injury during birth. It also discuss how a person can acquire a physical disability through road or industrial accidents, infections such as polio or diseases and disorders such as stroke or cancer. It introduces participants to some models of Physical Disabilities such as Musculo Skeletal
and Neuro Muscular Disabilities.
