Dr Ali Abdel Karim Abou Ali is an Assistant Professor in Marketing at BAU. He received his PhD in Business Adminstration (specilaization: Marketing) from BAU in 2021, and joined BAU as a lecturer from 2015 till 2020, and as an Assitant Professor in 2021. 

His research and papers published earlier lies in the field of consumer behavior in digital marketing environment, and he is wiling to deepen his research work in digital marketing scope more. Investigating marketing initiatives and the influence on business performance is essential. Moreover, examining the world of Artificial Intelligence and how it transforms the digital marketing context is critical.

As an educator, He aspire to provide students with an education that will help to transform them into a better person. Additionally, he encourage his students to become reflective thinkers who examine their own values, attitudes and beliefs. He also strives to enable my students to develop lifelong habits of curiosity, integrity, honesty, persistence, and passion for the pursuit of knowledge that will ultimately help them to become responsible potential leaders, equipped with practical skills.

  • Marketing and Management Instructor, 2010 till 2013, at Modern University of Business and Science, Aley, Lebanon & University Libano Francaise; Chtaura, Lebanon.

 

Courses taught: Undergraduate level: Strategic Marketing Management, Integrated Marketing communication, Consumer Behaviour, Marketing Research, Services Marketing, International Marketing, Marketing Principles, Strategic Management, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Hotel Management, and Introduction to Business, Senior Project and Internship. Postgraduate level: MBA: E-business, Services Marketing.

 

Duties:

  • Teach courses in their subject area.
  • Develop the instructional plan  for the course and ensure that it meets college and department standards.
  • Plan lessons and assignments.
  • Work with head of department to develop or modify the curriculum.
  • Assess students’ progress by grading papers, tests, and assignments.
  • Stay informed about changes and innovations in each field.
  • Submit quality assurance files for each course at the end of the semester, including course details, grading reports, absence, course plan, etc.

Professional Experience

Executive Manager at Local Economic Development Agency - UNDP; May 2013 - Jan 2015.

  • Writing and submitting proposals to Donors in Livelihood and Social Cohesion   dimensions.
  • Conduct market assessments and analysis in selected agricultural value chains at several levels.
  • Managing projects and their implementation (such as Women empowerment, Agriculture cooperatives training and support, SME development, Entrepreneurship...).
  • Identifying and liaising with governmental authorities, other national/ international institutions: local NGOs, Foreign embassies, and international Donors.
  • Participate in the development and finalization of the Annual Operation Plan.
  • Responsible of LEDA promotion, communication, and digital marketing strategy

                            

Marketing Specialist at UNIVEST- Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jan 2008 - May 2010;

  • Project Manager for New brand and product launches.
  • Liaise and Coordinate with Impact BBDO (advertising agency) and printing suppliers for all artwork, communication and branding activities.
  • Manage the promotional mix of the brands (POS material, sales promo offers, CRM…).
