Rasha Mahboub

Associate Professor

Dr. Rasha Mahboub successfully completed her PHD degree in Accounting  in 2017. She received her MSc in 2012 and BBA in Accounting in 2006, both from Beirut Arab University. She is an Assistant professor in the Accounting Department of Beirut Arab University. She worked as a tutor in Beirut Arab University and as a teacher in several Lebanese Colleges including College Technique De Frères and Career Development Center from 2006 to 2010. She Won Sharjah Prize for best PhD Dissertation in Administrative Sciences. Her primary research interests are in the fields of voluntary disclosure, impression management, forward- looking information disclosure, financial reporting quality, impact of Information and communication technology and social media on performance of banking sector, outsourcing of accounting functions. She taught various undergraduate and graduate business classes, published two textbooks and several research papers in peerrefereed international academic journals.

Before joining BAU, Dr. Rasha Mahboub taught Principles of Accounting, Auditing, Financial Math, Introduction to Management, Principles of Management and Commercial Business at College Technique De Frères and Career Development Center in Lebanon. At BAU, she taught Principles of Accounting I, Principles of Accounting II, Intermediate Accounting I, Intermediate Accounting II, Governmental Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, senior project and internship, Advanced Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Advanced Managerial Accounting, and Tax Accounting, Financial Statement Analysis, Business Project, Business Research Methods and Skills and Accounting and Financial Reporting.
