Nayer Aboelsaad

Professor of Periodontology

Dr. Aboelsaad is Professor of Periodontology, Director, Division of Oral Medicine, Oral Diagnosis & Radiology, Beirut Arab University –Lebanon.

He received his Bachelor degree in dental surgery with honors in 1996 from Mansoura University, Egypt. He pursued his masters in sciences degree in the field of Oral Medicine and Periodontology at 2003 from the same university. He worked for two years (2005-2007) as a researcher at king’s college dental Hospital London-United Kingdom where he accomplished his PhD Thesis. He got Mansoura University- Egypt award for best doctorate thesis (2009-2010). Dr. Aboelsaad supervises many Master and PhDThesis in addition to being member/head  of many jury defense committees. He published many research papers in International and regional journals in addition of being speaker in many international conferences and scientific meetings.

Teaching

Teching Experience.

  • During my academic carrier for about twenty five years of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students from multicultural societies including (Egypt, United Kingdom, and Lebanon), sharing clinical expertizes that I got during all those years with main goal is to educate students to perform proficiently in the discipline of Periodontics, be critical thinkers and stay lifelong learners.
  • Using different teaching methods like Clinical Case studies, Problem-based learning, Problem solving in addition to the interactive learning assessment that designed to include skills, knowledge, aptitude behavior needed to be competent dentists.
  • Self-directed learning, Team-based learning is to prepare students to be a good presenter and researcher. Moreover, promote their abilities to run out researches in a team work fashion.
  • Teaching five different courses starting from the second year till the last senior year. Ensuring both horizontal and vertical integration between courses.
