Dr. Hadi Abou Chakra completed his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering in 1998 from Beirut Arab University, M.Sc. in Structural Engineering in 1993, PhD in Process Engineering in 1998, and postdoctoral studies from the University of Surrey, UK. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, at Beirut Arab University, Lebanon. His specialization includes Process Engineering, Manufacturing Processes, Project Planning and Management, Ergonomics, Safety Engineering, Operation Management, Supply Chain, and Quality Control.
Dr. Abou Chakra has an international reputation for research projects through grants secured with several Lebanese and European organizations. He led several research projects in collaboration with different industries. Currently, he is managing two research groups in manufacturing processes and engineering management. He has published over 50 research papers in reputed journals, conferences, and books. He was selected as a member of the technical committee and paper reviewer of many journals and conferences.
