Sara Khalife

Assistant Professor

I obtained my BSc in Biochemistry from Lebanese University, Lebanon in 2009. I earned my M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology with honors from Doctoral School of Sciences and Technology, Lebanese University, Lebanon in 2011. I was subsequently awarded a scholarship to pursue my PhD under a joint program between Lebanese University and University of Lille-2 - France. I obtained in 2014 a PhD in Medical and Food Microbiology from Lebanese University and a PhD in Biology and Physiology of Organisms from University of Lille 2. After completing my PhD, I taught some courses at the Lebanese University on a part time basis. I have a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals. In 2016, I was appointed as an assistant Professor of Microbiology at Medical Laboratory Technology department, Faculty of Health Sciences, at Beirut Arab University

Teaching

At BAU, I taught Microbiology, Food Microbiology, Virology, Healthcare Law and Bioethics, Food Technology, Biochemistry, Evidence Based Laboratory Research, Infection Control and Management, Food chemistry, Quality Control and Laboratory Management, Principles of Nutrition, Advanced Clinical Laboratory Microbiology, Environmental Sciences and Biomedicine, and Research Methodology and Scientific Writing. I am always trying to implement new teaching methodologies in my courses.
