Mohammad Walid Abdulrahim received his S.J.D (Ph.D.) in Law in 1986 from the George Washington University (U.S.A), and the L.L.M (Master of Laws) in 1982 and M.C.L (Master of Comparative Law) in 1980 from the George Washington University (U.S.A). He obtained his License in Law from the Lebanese University in 1975. In July 2015, he retired from the Lebanese University where he had worked as an assistant, associate then a professor between 1986 and 2015. He was the Director of the Faculty of Law, Political and Administrative Science (5th Branch- Saida) of the Lebanese University between 1993 and 1999. He was a member of the Council of the Lebanese University 2001-2002; a member of the High Committee for the Development of Curriculum and Programs of the Lebanese University 2004-2015; the Coordinator of the Central Committee for Administering the Process of Evaluating Publications and Doctorate Dissertations at the Lebanese University 2013-2015; a member of several Lebanese University’s central committees on various matters; and a member of several Faculty’s committees for recruiting teaching staff, and for accepting students for Master and Ph.D. programs as well reviewing their topics for thesis and dissertations. He has been supervising and being a jury-member of many Master’s theses and Ph.D. dissertations. In September 2015, he joined the Beirut Arab University, and since then he has been a Professor at the Department of Public International Law/the Faculty of Law and Political Science. .
