Dr. Bilal Nakhal is an assistant professor of computer science at Beirut Arab University, where he teaches a range of courses in programming, algorithms, networking, database management, and software engineering, at undergraduate and graduate levels. Dr. Nakhal received his Ph.D. in virtual reality from a leading university in France, École Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Brest, where he conducted research on the generation of communicative intentions for virtual agents in an Intelligent Virtual Environment, and on the use of immersive environments for training and simulation.

Dr. Nakhal is an accomplished academic with a diverse range of experiences in research, teaching, and administration. As an assistant professor, he is actively engaged in organizing events and activities that support student learning and professional development. He collaborates in organizing workshops and seminars on emerging topics in computer science, and facilitates student participation in hackathons and coding competitions. He also helps to establish partnerships with industry and government partners to create internship and job opportunities for students.

Dr. Nakhal's current research interests include virtual reality, blockchain, cybersecurity, federated learning, digital twin, and trendy programming fields, with a particular focus on exploring the intersection of these fields. He supervises numerous research projects and has published several papers in leading journals and conferences. He is also involved in efforts to promote the ABET accreditation of the computer science program at Beirut Arab University, ensuring that the program meets high standards for academic rigor, industry relevance, and student outcomes.
