Mr. Moueen Karakira, representing the BAU Alumni and Career Center, joined eight other university representatives in the Alumni Tracking and Employer Engagement Study Tour organized by Florida State University (FSU), supported by USAID Lebanon. The tour spanned two weeks, focusing on Alumni Tracking from December 2 to 9, 2023, followed by Employer Engagement from December 9 to 16, 2023.
In the Alumni Tracking week, Mr. Karakira delved into data-driven strategies for alumni tracking, focusing on collaboration, data security, and alumni engagement. He explored successful practices that could be adapted to enhance alumni tracking strategies in Lebanon's educational context.
Transitioning to the Employer Engagement week, Mr. Karakira observed numerous strategies and activities designed to enhance the career development of students and alumni. The week emphasized fostering partnerships between educational institutions and employers to support students' transition into the workforce.
Mr. Karakira's active participation in both weeks provided him with valuable knowledge and insights that can be applied at BAU to support students' career growth and success in the job market. The tour was a significant opportunity for BAU to collaborate with other universities and learn best practices in alumni tracking and employer engagement strategies.
