About Media Center, Vision & Mission

About Us

The Media Center was established in 2007 to coordinate and expand media training activities at the University for students majoring in Mass Communication. The center also provides the community with media services and location facilities.

Vision

Media Center vision is to provide students of the Mass Communication Division with a general training on the latest media equipment. Our aim is to empower and equip our graduates with extra knowledge and technological skills to occupy various positions in the mass media industry.

Mission

Our Mission is to deliver to society well trained media graduates through the use of real Radio & TV equipments and aid of professional instructors who transfer their wide experience in that field preparing our students to be able to compete in local and international markets . For the various entertaining and educational events carried by faculties or centers in the university, the Media Center offers photo-video shooting, film editing - production & animation, visual communication (graphic design) works and other technical media services using its latest updated multimedia equipment and advanced software.

Facilities & Equipments

  • TV Studio: area of 13 x 9.7 x 3.4 (L x W x H to ceiling grid). Equipped with professional lighting & full HD cameras with autocue systems and a huge Croma Screen .The TV Control Room has a portable HD Digital broadcast switcher & a set of computers for news editing.

  • Radio Studio Includes an isolated audio recording & control rooms with a multichannel audio mixer for audio recording and an advanced computer editing set.

  • Editing Room provides students with video post-production needs. It Includes 11 editing workstations with professional audio video editing software such as “Adobe Premiere”.
