Architecture-Design-and-Built-Environment - Course - Digital Fabrication: 3D Printing and Robotics

  • Course Code: ARCH644
  • Credits: 2
  • Hours Distribution: 2 LEC
  • Course Type: Program Core Course (PCC)

Course Description

This course explores the Digital modeling and fabrication in a process that joins design with production using 3D modeling software and additive and subtractive manufacturing processes. 3D printing and laser cutting tools allow designers to produce material digitally, using actual testing of the accuracy of software and computer lines. Student learns digital fabrication techniques that integrate the computer-assisted designs with that of the construction industry where designers can propose complex forms and surfaces, through studying the properties of materials. And the use of Industrial robotic arms.
