Course Description

This course introduces students to the history, theory, and application of parametric design for interior design production. The course will focus on the underlying concepts and mechanisms for creating performance-based parametric modules and will guide students through the process of using rapid prototyping and CAD/CAM devices in a studio environment. The objective of this course is to provide students with the conceptual, as well as technical, framework through which to better understand the relevant application of parametric design to the various design problems they will encounter as interior designers.
