Course Description
Dentists are exposed to a wide variety of potentially infectious microorganisms in their clinical environment. The course aims to give the students the knowledge and understanding about the best protocols and procedures necessary for working safely. The course aims also at rendering the students familiar with the most common oral microbiota and the most appropriate methods for sterilizing dental clinic equipment. Emphasis is focused on applying the standard guidelines of preventive measures to inhibit cross infection for the best practice in dental clinic. Dental students are subjected to the experience of sample collection by medical lab students to emphasize IPE experience.
