Course Description

The course aims to introduce the students to the scope of maxillofacial surgery and provides them with knowledge about the principles, bacteriology, causes and propagation of odontogenic infection and its different types of presentation either intraoral or extraoral (fascial spaces of infection) and its management. The second part of the course aims to give a good knowledge about implant dentistry. It will introduce the candidates to the different types of dental implants, the treatment planning for implant cases and the delayed versus the immediate surgical techniques for implant placement.
