Course Description

This course involves the development of a treatment plan based on the information gathered during the stage of orthodontic diagnosis. Various approaches of treatment for the correction of different orthodontic problems will be presented. The candidate will be exposed to the theory, construction, and manipulation of the wide variety of appliances and techniques used in orthodontic and dentofacial orthopedic therapy. Principles of banding and bonding are stressed, as is the use of fixed and removable auxiliary appliances. Anchorage preparation in treatment planning will be explained with stress on all recent techniques including implants and miniscrews.
