Course Description
This course will introduce the principles of neuroscience and describe their application as relevant to physical therapists, in addition to the terminology of the nervous system and cover the major functions of the nervous systems. This course will also integrate neurophysiology and neuroanatomy into the clinical presentation of adults with neurologic pathology. The etiology, epidemiology signs, and symptoms of selected neurological conditions will be presented. The medical and/or surgical management of patients with nervous system disorders will be presented in relationship to the practice of physical therapy. The course will introduce examination of impairments for persons with neuromuscular pathologies. Pre-req: ANAT 204.
