Course Description

The course provides an in-depth study of the pathophysiology of nutritional diseases. The functional disorders resulting in nutritional diseases will be explored. The emphasis will be on the pathological processes and their effect on nutritional status and nutrient metabolism. The pathophysiology of the cardiac, respiratory, gastrointestinal, hepato-biliary, pancreatic, renal endocrine, and musculoskeletal systems diseases will be explored in relation to nutritional imbalances and homeostasis.
