The practicum course helps students to develop advanced skills and clinical competencies in the nursing management of adult patients with alterations in human functioning. Emphasis builds on advanced practice preparation in medical surgical nursing, advanced assessment, diagnostic reasoning and decision making, therapeutic interventions, consultation and referral skills.
