Course Description

This course invites students to examine their own health-related behavior and attitudes and to begin making healthy changes that are informed by health research. Since our health attitudes, beliefs and practices are influenced by our gender, age, personality and cultural background, the course aims to promote students’ understanding of, and respect for, the differences among groups of people. It will increase students’ awareness of the special challenges and problems faced by these various groups, as well as explain how the major theories interpret health-related behavior.
