Course Description

IThe course introduces students to the language of research and the elements of the research process within quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches. Students will have the opportunity to study and practice theorizing, critiquing research papers, conceptual modelling, and research design that is relevant to their research interests. The course will also focus on moral theories and morality that represent the basis of bioethics and its application in various clinical settings. Through well-designed scenarios and roleplays, commonly encountered ethical challenges such as scientific research involving humans, the use of genetically modified organisms, and ownership of clinical and genetic data will be discussed.
