This course introduces integrated systems. The topics covered include distributed systems, distributed systems models, network architectures, protocols, process-to-process communication, client-server models, group communication, TCP sockets, remote procedure calls, distributed objects, remote initiation, distributed file systems, file service architectures, name services, directory and discovery services, distributed synchronization and coordination, and distributed multimedia systems.
