Course Description
This course is a literature-lecture based and provides an overview of genomes from viruses to vertebrates, as well as an introduction to genomics approach to fundamental problems in current biology. Specific areas to be discussed include large scale sequencing projects, genomes structure and variation, comparative genomics, genome-wide analysis of genes and proteins. The course also covers current methods used in DNA microarrays and proteomic analysis.
