BAU offers Diplomas Master and PhD programs, each with specific admission requirements.
Diploma
Applicants to any of the postgraduate diplomas must hold a Bachelor Degree obtained from BAU or any other recognized university.
Master Program
Applicants to the Master program at the Faculty of Human Sciences or the Faculty of Law & Political Science must hold a Bachelor Degree, from BAU or from any other recognized university. All other Faculties, however, require in addition to the bachelor degree a minimum CGPA of 2.33 or a minimum percentage grading system of 70%.
PhD Program
Applicants to the PhD program at the Faculty of Human Sciences or the Faculty of Law & Political Science must hold a Master degree from BAU or any other recognized university with a minimum CGPA 2.33 or a minimum percentage grading system of 70%. All other Faculties, however, require in addition to the Master degree a minimum CGPA of 3.00 or a minimum percentage grading system of 80%.
Additional Admission Requirements for Some Faculties
- Applicants to Arabic Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, French Language and Literature programs are required to pass a special admission exam.
- Applicants to the Faculty of Law & Political Science are required to attend an interview, in addition to the Arabic exam and an exam in one of the foreign languages (French or English).
- Applicants to the Faculty of Dentistry are required to attend an interview, practical and written exam before the final decision of acceptance.
