The Faculty of Law and Political Science and the Human Rights Center at Beirut Arab University, in collaboration with Gherbal Initiative, hosted a session on “The role of civil society in promoting transparency and combating corruption in public administration”.
Students gained valuable knowledge about Gherbal Initiative’s mission and its critical role in advancing transparency in Lebanon. The session provided an in-depth look at the Access to Information Law, explaining its key provisions, significance, and the rights it grants to citizens. Participants also analyzed findings from Gherbal’s reports, including Transparency in Lebanese Administrations, which evaluates public sector responses to information requests.
