L’Ambassade de France au Liban vient de lancer l’appel à candidatures 2025 du programme de bourses doctorales SAFAR. Ces bourses, cofinancées par notre établissement et l’Ambassade de France, sont attribuées à des doctorants libanais inscrits en cotutelle de thèse (le cas échéant en codirection) avec un établissement en France à partir de la rentrée 2025. Elles ont pour objectif d’initier un projet de recherche ou de renforcer une collaboration scientifique existante.

Pour mémoire, le financement de l’Ambassade de France couvre les séjours en France des doctorants sélectionnés durant 3 années universitaires (4 années civiles) en alternance avec le Liban. La durée totale du séjour en France doit être de 18 mois et ne peut excéder 6 mois par an. À titre indicatif : 4 mois en 2025 ; 6 mois en 2026 ; 6 mois en 2027 ; 2 mois en 2028.

The French Embassy in Lebanon has just launched the 2025 call for applications for the SAFAR doctoral scholarship programme. These scholarships, co-financed by our institution and the French Embassy, are awarded to Lebanese doctoral students enrolled in a joint thesis (or co-directed thesis) with an institution in France from the start of the 2025 academic year. The aim is to initiate a research project or strengthen an existing scientific collaboration.

For the record, funding from the French Embassy covers the stay in France of selected doctoral students for 3 academic years (4 calendar years), alternating with a stay in Lebanon. The total duration of the stay in France must be 18 months and may not exceed 6 months per year. As an indication: 4 months in 2025; 6 months in 2026; 6 months in 2027; 2 months in 2028.
