115 Students wear the White Coat At Beirut Arab University

The Faculty of Medicine at Beirut Arab University celebrated 115 students during the "White Coat" ceremony that was held at Beirut campus. This celebration reflects students' transition from academic life to the medical professional life and affirms their commitment in maintaining the highest standards of care and professionalism.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Professor Wafaa Al Sehly, spoke about the meaning of the occasion and its importance to the graduates and said that “wearing the white coat is the symbolic moment that embodies the beginning of the true journey in the world of medicine, the world of humanity and giving, and it is a defining moment in your scientific and professional career. This white coat is not just a costume, but rather a pledge, honor, responsibility and mission.".

The Head of Basic Medical Sciences Department Professor Madiha Hassan, said in her speech that “medicine is not just a science, but also an art of listening, communication and empathy. Your clinical and technical skills will be indispensable, but your humanity will be the true foundation for healing."

Dr. Michal Shahhoud, the host of the ceremony, said: “This is a moment when our students take their first steps toward serving humanity, wearing the symbol of purity and dedication; the white coat, marking their transition to the clinical phase of their medical journey. The past three years have been filled with challenges, sleepless nights, study, and commitment.”

On this occasion, the students Islam Zarzour and Ali Kurdieh spoke on behalf of their colleagues, thanking their families and teachers who supported them in their educational journey and supported them in the challenges they will face and in their medical journey.

At the end of the ceremony, the students wore the white coat, announcing their commitment during the next years of training, to provide patients with care and preservation.
