His Excellency Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt Alaa Moussa visited Beirut Arab University where the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bir Wal Ihasan and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Beirut Arab University, Dr. Ammar Houry welcomed him, then held a meeting with the Wakf Board of Trustees in which he affirmed for Ambassador Moussa the ongoing historical relationship with the sister country Egypt especially that Beirut Arab University represents one of the crown's jewels in the relationship between Lebanon and Egypt. The Ambassador also congratulated appointing the new President Professor Wael Nabil Abdel Salam.
He, then, met the University’s Council presided by the University President, Professor Wael Abdel Salam, with the presence of the Secretary General Dr. Omar Houri .The meeting started by the President Prof. Wael where he welcomed His Excellency and wished him all the success. He also talked about the University's academic, cultural and social role and its responsibilities towards society and its community noting that we have provided many services and projects both in Beirut, Debbieh and Tripoli.
The Ambassador toured the University's most important facilities like faculties, visited its laboratories and met with the faculty deans. At the end, the Ambassador expressed his admiration and appreciation for the level of scientific and academic progress the university has achieved.
