BAU Students Secure Second and Third Prizes in Liban Pack (Arab Star Pack) Student Awards 2025

Graphic Design students from the Faculty of Architecture – Design and Built Environment at Beirut Arab University, Celine Mezher and Hala Sakr won the second and the third prize in the Liban Pack (Arab Star Pack) Student Awards 2025, a regional competition accredited by the World Packaging Organization .

The event was held under the patronage and in the presence of the Minister of Industry, H.E. Mr. Joe Issa El Khoury, gathered students, faculty members, and industry leaders to celebrate innovation, sustainability, and young Lebanese talent in packaging design.

Celine Mezher (Class of 2024) won the second prize for her innovative redesign of Daaboul’s “Fresh Moghrabieh Recipe”, focusing on functional and user-friendly packaging units.

Hala Sakr (Class of 2025) won the third prize for her creative rebranding of “Teta’s Recipe Crackers”, bringing warmth and nostalgia through thoughtful design.

This annual competition invites university students across the Arab world to reimagine Lebanese product packaging, enhancing both its visual identity and structural design to better reflect innovation, sustainability, and market appeal. Winners gain the opportunity to compete internationally in the prestigious WorldStar Awards by WPO.
