Beirut Arab University represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Professor Rajaa Fakhoury, signed with the Director General of Dar Al Ajaza Al Islamiya Hospital, Dr. Bader Zaidan, a 3-year cooperation agreement to train students in nursing and medical laboratories programs in addition to the field of medical science research; in the presence of the Assistant Dean, Dr. Rami Abbas, Head of Nursing Department at BAU, Dr. Mirna Fawaz, Head of Laboratory Department, Dr. Rita Houri, and the Director of Nursing at the hospital, Ms. Abir Idelbi.
The agreement stated a mutual cooperation between the Faculty of Health Sciences and Dar Al Ajaza Al Islamiya Hospital in nursing and medical laboratory students training and conducting joint research.
The Dean of the Faculty also offered Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS) courses to the hospital staff through the BAU Life Support Center (BAULS), which is accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA), in addition to providing other services including supervision on hospital food safety.
Dr. Zaidan wished this cooperation to include other departments in the faculty and praised the importance of cooperation between the two institutions, which dates since the establishment of Beirut Arab University.
