Legal Clinic Activity at Beirut Arab University Traversing from Theoretical to Practical Towards Developing Legal Education

The Faculty of Law and Political Science at Beirut Arab University organized the closing activity of the legal clinic entitled "Traversing from Theoretical to Practical Towards Developing Legal Education", in the presence of the President of Beirut Arab University, Professor Wael Nabil Abdel Salam, Secretary General, Dr. Omar Houri, Faculty Dean Professor Mohammed Kassem, and a crowd of lawyers, faculty members and students.
The activity started with a welcome speech by the Faculty Dean, Professor Mohammad Kassem, who thanked the President, the Secretary General, and the lawyers for supporting the faculty and their assistance in the activity of the clinic, noting that the most prominent roles of the clinic are to develop the critical spirit of students and motivate them to participate in the legislation industry. Kassem also looks forward to further developing this pioneering experience in the interest of students and developing legal education.

From his side, the President of the University, Professor Wael Nabil Abdel Salam, praised the efforts of the faculty and explained that theoretical studies need practical ones to complement them in all faculties and fields. He also thanked all those who planned, implemented and helped to make this clinic successful, wishing success for this step and looking forward for more.
In the same context, the Secretary General, Dr. Omar Houri, explained that the activity of the legal clinic aims to re-educate the community legally. He also launched the initiative "Integration of lawyers and universities through syndicates" in order to make students graduate with full knowledge in the legal field and have influence in field work.
In conclusion, the lawyers who played the most prominent role in contributing to the activities of the "legal clinic", and the success of this experiment, were honored with certificates of appreciation.
