The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Research at Beirut Arab University organized an orientation day under the title “8th Graduate Studies Open House... Crafting Your Pathway” in Jamal Abdel Nasser Hall - at Beirut campus, in the presence of the Commander of the Lebanese Army, General Joseph Aoun, represented by General Fouad Al-Zoghbi, Director General of General Security Elias Al-Bisari, represented by Colonel Mazen Saqr, Director General of the Internal Security Forces, General Imad Othman, represented by General Engineer Dr. Issam Taqoush, Diplomats and representatives of some Arab Embassies, Captains and the Secretary General of Beirut Arab university Dr. Omar Houri, Deans of Universities, and a crowd of students and interested audience.
This day aims to guide and inform university students and participants from other universities about the postgraduate programs of PhD, master’s, and diploma offered by the university’s ten faculties. It also provides the opportunity for students and participants to communicate directly with representatives of the faculties, and inquire about programs and majors, etc....
After the Lebanese national anthem and the university anthem, the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, Professor Hania Nakkash, presented the university’s most prominent achievements and aspirations. She also stressed on the university’s classification and ranking first place locally among Lebanese universities (according to the “THE” classification).
Professor Nakkash also referred to the scholarships that students can benefit from, and the international institutional accreditation that the university has obtained. She also stated the accreditations obtained by the faculties, and their positive impact in the academic field and in the research field, so that it raises the level of research issued by the university, and puts the university in constant keeping pace with the scientific developments that the university is keen to achieve, according to the highest standards.
On the other hand, faculty representatives presented postgraduate programs, prominent services provided by their faculties, and what they reflect in the students’ future professional lives.
