In line with BAU's Strategy 2020-2030 “Maintaining the Culture of Professional Development and Practice” to support the professional development of academic staff members and enhance a more harmonious and collaborative work environment, the Quality Assurance Center (QAC) at Beirut Arab University (BAU) organized a two-day workshop 26th and 27th August 2024, titled “Mediation: A Conflict Prevention and Management Tool” in partnership with L’Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), and Centre Professionnel de Médiation (CPM) at Université Saint-Joseph (USJ).

Academic staff members from various Faculties participated in the workshop.

Through various activities and case scenarios, participants gained knowledge and skills necessary to address conflicts inside and outside academic settings by encouraging open dialogue, developing active listening, identifying common grounds, and exploring mutually beneficial solutions.
