Department of Biological Sciences
The Department of Biological Sciences offers degree programs in Biology and Biochemistry (B.Sc., Master, and Ph.D.). The academic staff is committed to promoting and contributing to the development and dissemination of basic and applied knowledge and research through high-quality teaching, research, and community service programs with a particular focus on areas of strategic importance to Lebanon. Much of the work within the department is expected to have a national, regional, and international impact. An adequate number of laboratories offer suitable space for teaching and research. The diversity of scientific interests within the department contributes to an exciting, interactive, and supportive environment to achieve the department's goals and objectives.
Research is conducted at the Department of Biological Sciences in various applied and experimental fields. Academic staff, assistants, graduates, and undergraduates provide distinguished efforts in these fields and contribute to building a scientific research base that expands day after day and achieves the department’s goals.
