In celebration of the World Health Day, the Faculty of Health Sciences-Tripoli organized a conference entitled “Infectious Diseases: Epidemiology and Clinical Insights”, in collaboration with Haykel Hospital on April 6, 2019. The conference imparts knowledge about diagnosis, prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge for the advantage of both academics and healthcare providers.
The conference hosted Dr. Rana Hajjeh, the director of the division of communicable disease control and the director of program management” at WHO/EMRO as a keynote speaker, in addition to speakers from the faculty of health sciences and the faculty of medicine at Beirut Arab University, the American University of Beirut and specialists in infectious diseases and Pediatrics. After the opening ceremony, the conference started by the Keynote speech followed by three sessions. The conference was attended by members of the health sector in North Lebanon including physicians and nurses, in addition to students from the faculties of health sciences of different universities.
