A team of three computer Science students (Rody Mamdouh Hasan, Omar Akram abo Marak and Ahmad Haidar Ghaddar) at the Faculty of Science was among the top spots in the Lebanese Collegiate Programming Competition - LCPC 2015 held in Arab Open University in the 18th of September 2015 and this team was qualified to participate in the Arab Collegiate Programming Contest (ACPC).

The Arab Collegiate Programming Contest (ACPC) is a qualifying round for the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). ACPC is organized in the same spirit and is governed by all applicable rules of the ICPC.

The 2015 Eighteenth Arab Collegiate Programming Contest (ACPC 2015) will be hosted by The Arab Academy for Science and Technology, Alexandria, Egypt and held at Sharm El-Sheikh from 20 to 23 November, 2015.

Winners of the ACPC contest qualify to the ICPC World Finals. The ACPC Regional Contest is normally held during November/December of each year, whereas the ICPC World Final is held in March/April of the following year.
