The Bekaa Graduates Trip will give the graduates students the chance to visit the Research Center for Environment and Development (RCED) at the BAU Bekaa Campus which operates through a team of scholars and students from the various BAU entities and  a network of  national and  international investigators and research institutions. RCED utilizes interdisciplinary approaches to develop, assess  and monitor indicators and recommend management strategies of  natural resources and means for sustainable development. RCED has a Managing Board formed from experts and consultants from BAU and responsible community members and  presided by Prof. Amr Galal Adawi.  The board  provides advice, guidance  and consultation.  It grantees transparency, dissemination of findings and a linkage  with different  sectors of society and community.  RCED is  directed by Dr. Safaa Baydoun who is supported by Steering Committees.

The trip will then continue to visit the Anjar Ruins of Umayyad Empire, and then the trip will be concluded by a very tasty lunch at the Al-Shams Restaurant in Anjar area, with a delicious barbecue grill and top of the line Lebanese mezza.
