The Faculty of Science, in coordination with the BAU Admission Office and BAU Life Chapter, organized the AI Summer Camp: Build, Apply, Understand from August 5–7, 2025, at Debbieh Campus. The summer camp was moderated by Computer Science Faculty members with the support of eight student volunteers, and hosted eleven high school students. Over three days, participants engaged in lectures, interactive activities, and hands-on projects covering AI fundamentals, ethics, machine learning, and applications in security and medical imaging. Activities included building a Cat vs. Dog classifier using Teachable Machine, experimenting with face recognition, and designing AI-based projects in pairs. Quizzes reinforced learning at the end of each session. The camp concluded with a closing ceremony where all students received certificates of participation, and outstanding projects were awarded to Lamar Al Cahmi (first place) and Hussein Hassoun (second place). The camp was a great success, inspiring students to explore the exciting world of AI.
