Agreement between Faculty of Science and ICC Group

The Faculty of Science- Math & Computer Science Department at Beirut Arab University signed an agreement with ICC (International Computer & Communication Systems – Lebanon), a Leading Group that provides Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Solutions, operating in Lebanon and the region, to develop top notch coordination within their fields of activity.

Such agreement provides many benefits to BAU’ Computer Science Students, in terms of getting access to internships and trainings on software development, networking and IT solution projects, building their capacity and improving their professional skills. It also provides students a better chance for finding software development and IT jobs after graduation.

The event took place at Ali Rached Hall in Beirut Campus and was attended by ICC’ Group Managing Director, Mr. Hilmi El Loulou along with key persons from the Group, as well as Pr. Ramadan Awad, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Ghada Khawaja, Assistant Dean, Dr. Mohammed Abdel-Rahim, Math & Computer Science Department’ Chair and interested Faculty Members, Postgraduates and Undergraduate Students and Computer Science Alumni.

The attendees discussed the importance of finding job opportunities for students in their fields and giving them the right training and career guidance. Mr. Hilmi El Loulou strained on the importance of such collaboration, highlighting the Massive Growth and vitality of the Information and Communication Technology sectors and reiterated that ICC Group will be doing the utmost to provide both BAU and its Students with the best internship programs along with other Onsite Coordination which will change the Internship Perspective Fruitfully, in the fields of Computer Science.

In this context, ICC Group, represented by Its Group Managing Director, Mr. Hilmi El Loulou, will take part in the Faculty of Science’s Advisory Board to assist in periodically reviewing the Computer Science curriculum and suggesting improvements based on market needs.
