On April 16, 2025, the Alumni and Community Service Committee hosted an event called Alumni Talk, featuring Dr. Rana Khalifeh, a distinguished alumnus of our Biochemistry program and a current lecturer at University College London, UK. Dr. Khalifeh shared her inspiring journey and insights into the transformative field of cell and gene therapy. Her presentation, titled "Engineering the Cure: The Revolution of Cell and Gene Therapy", highlighted how biochemical engineers are driving innovation in cancer treatment and other areas. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about Dr. Khalifeh's impressive career, her contributions to both academic and applied research, and her important role in shaping the next generation of scientists.
