Computer Science Summer Camp entitled BAU “Building Apps Yourself” at Debbieh Campus from July 9th till 12th,2024. Led by the Math & Computer Science Department, the Camp was designed to unlock the coding potentials of High School Students Grades 10, 11 & 12. Attended by 50 high school students from south Lebanon, the summer camp gave an opportunity for students to embark on an exciting journey into web and mobile development. They gained hands-on experience in HTML, CSS, MIT App Inventor and did a summative exercise where they built their own website. This summer camp enriched students with technical and problem-solving skills and gave them exposure to higher education allowing early major exploration. In addition, it helped attract talent and strengthened the university’s outreach and community engagement.
