She acted as the coordinator of the American Heart Association BAU Life Support International Training Center since 2017. She earned her PhD from the University of Jordan and is an active researcher in nursing education, with a particular focus on high-fidelity simulation, concept mapping, and innovative teaching strategies. Her recent work explores educational and social psychology in higher education. She has been recognized among the top 2% of scientists worldwide according to the Stanford University global ranking.

Mayada Bou Mehdi is an experienced healthcare educator and life support training expert with a strong background in critical care nursing, simulation-based learning, and healthcare education. She currently leads the Life Support Training Center at Beirut Arab University and serves as Regional Faculty for the American Heart Association (AHA) across the MENA region.

Since 2010, she has played a key role in establishing, developing, and mentoring AHA Training Centers and instructors throughout the region. Her expertise spans life support education, course development, quality assurance, faculty development, and immersive simulation-based learning.

Mayada holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Operations and Project Management, and a Diploma in Healthcare Simulation from the Lebanese American University (2026). She continues to advance healthcare training and patient outcomes through education, mentorship, innovation, and community outreach initiatives.

Dr. Bahaa Bou Dargham is a Consultant Anesthesiologist at Hammoud Hospital University Medical Center (HHUMC) and a Clinical Lecturer of Anesthesia at Beirut Arab University (BAU), Lebanon. He serves as Co-Director of the Anesthesia Residency Program at HHUMC and Course Director of the Emergency Trauma Life Support (ETLS) program at the Beirut Arab University Life Support Center (BAULS).

He is currently pursuing Master's degrees in Health Research at the American University of Beirut and in Anatomy and Embryology at Beirut Arab University. He has completed diplomas in Clinical Simulation and Health Research and is enrolled in the Leadership in Medicine Program at AUB.

Dr. Bou Dargham is actively engaged in medical education, clinical research, and healthcare leadership, with interests in anesthesiology, patient safety, medical education, artificial intelligence in healthcare, and clinical outcomes research. He is also an American Heart Association ACLS and PALS Training Center Faculty and course director.

Anwar Issa is a Regional Faculty Member of the American Heart Association (AHA) across all disciplines, BLS, ACLS, and PALS in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region, and the Advanced Trauma care for Nurses course Director. An expert educator since 2007, he has extensive experience in resuscitation education, instructor development, healthcare simulation, and critical care, contributing to the advancement of healthcare education and the professional development of healthcare providers throughout the region.

Mr. Issa also serves as a Senior Medical Simulation Specialist at the College of Medicine, Beirut Arab University, where he has been a key team member since 2017. He holds a Master of Science in Critical Care Nursing and is actively involved in simulation-based education and clinical skills training.

Mr. Tarek Abdo is the Training Center Administrator and Clinical Instructor at the Beirut Arab University Life Support Center (BAULS). He brings more than 20 years of experience in critical care and anesthesia nursing, having served in leadership and clinical roles within the Ministry of Public Health, the United Nations, and Clemenceau Medical Center.

Since joining Beirut Arab University in 2021, Mr. Abdo has held a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Red Cross University and a Master’s degree in Critical Care Nursing from Beirut Arab University. His expertise and commitment to excellence continue to support the advancement of healthcare professionals and patient care outcomes.
