Indirect Calorimeter: Quark RMR

The Quark RMR is a state-of-the-art metabolic cart designed for accurate measurement of Resting Energy Expenditure (REE) and respiratory ratio (R), in a non-invasive way, through the measurement of oxygen consumption (VO2) and carbon dioxide production (VCO2) together with other ventilatory parameters. Energy requirements are monitored accurately and instantaneously on spontaneously breathing subjects with a flow-dilution canopy hood. The number of available configurations make the Quark RMR the most versatile metabolic cart for applied research in human physiology. Quark RMR’s accuracy and reliability have been validated against Gold Standard methods either with spontaneously breathing subjects (at rest and during exercise) and mechanically assisted patients.

Tanita MC-780U

The MC-780U uses the very latest multi-frequency technology to record a comprehensive range of measurements in just 20 seconds, from segmental fat and muscle mass to basal metabolic rate, visceral fat levels, phase angle and intra/extra cellular body water. Research has shown that using multi-frequency provides essential data on intracellular and extracellular water. This advanced technology shows greater accuracy when calculating body composition measurements.

Body composition analyzer: InBody 170

The Inbody helps to determine whether you have a well-balanced body composition status. It is known that an unbalanced body composition leads to obesity, malnutrition, edema and others. By comparing your measurements results to the normal range, you can see if you have proper skeletal muscle mass and body fat in your body. It outputs weight, muscle mass (Skeletal Muscles Mass), body fat mass, TBW, FFM, BMI, PBF, WHR, visceral fat level, BMR, segmental lean ( Mass, Evaluation), segmental Fat ( Mass, %, Evaluation), muscle-fat control, body composition history and impedance.
