About
Dr. Rasha Mahboub received her PhD in Accounting in 2017 from Beirut Arab University, where she also earned her MSc in Accounting in 2012 and her BBA in Accounting in 2006. She currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting at Beirut Arab University. Dr. Mahboub’s academic career reflects sustained engagement in teaching, research, and service, consistent with AACSB faculty qualification standards. She began her career as a tutor at Beirut Arab University and taught at several higher education institutions in Lebanon, including the College Technique De Frères and the Career Development Center, between 2006 and 2010. In recognition of the quality and rigor of her doctoral research, she was awarded the Sharjah Prize for the Best PhD Dissertation in Administrative Sciences. Her intellectual contributions focus on voluntary disclosure, impression management, forward-looking information disclosure, financial reporting quality, and the impact of information and communication technologies and social media on banking sector performance, as well as the outsourcing of accounting functions. Dr. Mahboub has published extensively in peer-reviewed, internationally recognized journals, including outlets indexed in Scopus, and has authored two academic textbooks in accounting. In terms of teaching and learning, Dr. Mahboub has delivered a broad range of undergraduate and graduate accounting and business courses and has contributed to curriculum development and student supervision. Through her ongoing scholarly productivity, effective teaching, and academic service, she continues to support the mission and assurance of learning objectives of Beirut Arab University in alignment with AACSB accreditation standards.
