With great pleasure, the Faculty of Architecture - Design and Built Environment, BAU, had the opportunity to participate in the Doctoral Studies National Research Days, 18-19 May 2023. This scientific event was organized by the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) in partnership with Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and Conseil National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS). The two PhD students represented our faculty; Alisa Abdelghany and Ali Srour.
Alisa’s presentation was titled: Towards Urban Biodiversity: Simulating Design Parameters for Wildlife-Inclusive Green Infrastructure.
Ali’s presentation was titled: Towards a New Paradigm in the Lebanese Urban Management System for Enhanced Master Plans’ Generation
Both students performed very well, and Alisa won the third prize - Best oral presentation in Architecture.
In addition, the faculty was also represented by Assoc. Prof. Maged Youssef participated in the event as a chair and a jury member in session no. 5 - Architecture, Design, and Art History, held from 3.15 pm to 4.30 pm on Friday 19 May 2023.
