The Specialized Chemical Compounds Analysis Laboratory aims to meet the escalating demands of our postgraduate students at the faculty of science as well as it is also a resource for collaborative work with faculty across a range of departments, faculties at BAU or any other university. The laboratory is well equipped with the specialized instrumentations that provide students and researchers the chance and the services to follow the latest applications and achievements in their respective occupational fields. It provides a valued spectroscopic method in order to study the molecular structure, dynamics of complex systems and improve sensitivity, resolution and applicability in chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical industries, medicine and materials science.
Infrastructure of the Laboratory
A variety of experimental tools are used in this research area, including Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Thermal Analyzer (TG-DTA/DSC), Spectrofluorometer, Elemental Analyzer, Gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (GC-MS).
